Engineering Dashboard And Document Management System Platform

The purpose of this project was to build a fully functional, production-ready document management system, to achieve three main objectives:

• Manage the day-to-day documents, integrate them with the emails, use them in contract approval, project process gate-review and approval reviews, to have a seamless workflow without the need of paper-based workflow. The document workflow can be customized to align with the current project process, for example, it can be used to customize the periodic reporting and status reporting, among other features. Additionally, it was integrated with SAP to extend its functionality.

• Use the system as an archive tool, once the project is done, as the archiving process will collect all the documents shared (including the emails) to one searchable folder, for future reference

• The system also featured a full dashboard that measured the KPI and teams activities in real time, as well as per X period of time.

I will add more details about the technical stack in the future, but if you are curious about it, the platform was very similar to https://budibase.com, except it was for internal use, had only common databases types integrations (plus SAP integration), and the dashboard was tailored for the work done.
